As I speak to my friends in Florence and Tuscany, they tell me that businesses are open but the streets are still empty because of the travel ban on the United States.
The EU did its first biweekly review and determined that the US has not made any progress on flattening the COVID-19 curve, therefore the ban will not be lifted. Another review will take place at the beginning of August.
Bottom line: the quicker we ALL make sacrifices to work together, the quicker we can get back to doing what we love.
